CPP

CPP is a non-oriented polypropylene film. It offers high gloss, superior transparency, and excellent heat-sealing strength. CPP is often chosen over PE when higher clarity or retort resistance is required.

Core properties

Engineering Insights

Advantage

Heat Resistance

Retortable grades maintain integrity during high-temp sterilization.

Advantage

Visual Appeal

Offers higher transparency and gloss than standard PE films.

Advantage

Oil Resistance

Excellent for greasy or oily snacks and sauces.

Limitation

Cold Brittleness

Standard CPP can become brittle at freezing temperatures (requires special grades).

Limitation

Stiffness

Lower rigidity than BOPP, usually used as a laminate inner layer.

Practical Usages

Retort Pouches

Essential sealant layer for ready-to-eat meals.

Bread/Bakery

Favored for its high clarity and breathability control.
